Thanks for stopping by! The songs I try to write for artists start with one question, "If I was at their concert, what song would I want them most to play?" These songs aren't about me, they're about them - the audience. What are they feeling? What are they frustrated about? What would they enjoy escaping to? What fun verses from that song would they want on a shirt or hat?
As for me....I've been a full time corporate guy who has loved to write and deliver presentations all over the world. It was always about connecting with the audience and giving them something playful, something fun they hadn't heard before. As I near retirement, I'm starting this new journey seeing if what I did translates to country music. We'll see if a label agrees and wants to partner up!
I always wished Jim Steinman (Total Eclipse Of The Heart, Bat Out Of Hell) wrote country songs as I love his wordplay, double entendre usage, and emotional connections. Alas, he never did and he's gone now but maybe I can (in some small way) take up that mantle with fun songs like "If Congress Had A Bouncer", "Destination Doghouse", "Little Times", and "Fiddler's Paradise". If these take hold there's many more that are just waiting to be brought to life!
